One of my regular tasks as a technical writer at the BYU Office of IT is to write surveys. I was asked to give a training to newer employees on survey writing and the Qualtrics software.
I explained how to write good surveys in a PowerPoint, and then took participants into Qualtrics and had them build a survey with me. This helped them get hands-on experience with the software. Then we discussed the best ways to distribute surveys on campus and remotely. Finally, we discussed how to analyze data and get reports from Qualtrics.
