At Front Row Reviewers, I was an intern over Southern California. Although the company is based in Utah, I was the only reviewer located in Southern California so it was my responsibility to review all the shows in that area. I was in this role from May 2019 to August 2019. My main responsibilities included:
- Researching upcoming performances and contacting theaters
- Attending and writing reviews of shows
- Editing other reviewers' articles for substantive changes and grammatical errors
Front Row Reviewers was created as a space for people to read about theater shows they might be interested in attending. They have a goal to always look for the positive in every show. This helped me learn how to provide accurate information while still painting a positive light on organizations who had put a lot of time and effort into something. Front Row Reviewers also has a 48 hour turnaround time, which helped push me to write high quality articles in a short amount of time.
